Table Comments

Replacement costs:

· It has been estimated that all of the components will become cheaper with time, as the technology becomes more common in the market. As all of the components; except the fuel cell; last in excess of 20 years, a conservative estimate of 90% - 95% of the original value has been assumed.

· One exception is the replacement cost of the wind turbines. The replacement cost is assumed to be only half that of the original value, because it is highly unlikely that the turbine tower or foundations would have to be rebuilt, purely replacement of the nacelle or turbine blades.

Operations & Maintenance:

· The values assigned to the annual operations and maintenance (O&M) costs have been estimated, with assistance from Sgurr Energy.

The conversion rates used in the pricing of the project are those of 30th of March 2008 and these were as follows:

· Dollars to Pounds: 0.706364343
· Euros to Pounds: 0.931906477
